​The Big Smoke

Ellery Jacobsen lived in Syracuse, New York with her mother and father and was an only child. Growing up her parents tried to conceive another but failed. It was later determined that she was a miracle herself and that it was by luck that her mother had Ellery. Her mother was an elementary teacher and her father was a cop for the city of New York. Ellery was their pride and joy. They doted upon their daughter and always kept her safe. She had a good life and was a rather happy child and teenager. Her life was what it should be. She was in cheer at her high school, captain of the cheer squad. She had hopes in attending college. Her eyes set for something new. She had a few colleges in mind hoped to get into them. All she had to do was apply come spring. 

One night after a game they were heading home from, the weather began to get a little crazy. Snow began to fall and that was normal. Her father was used to this, but a turn of events would forever change her life. A deer jumped in front of the car and as her father slammed on the breaks his car collided and slid off the road and rolled a few times before hitting a tree. The accident took the life of Ellery's parents. She screamed for help and was in the cold for a bit before help arrived. She was lucky to be alive. Suffered a broken leg and bruises. Parents were dead on the scene. This sent Ellery to a road of self harm and destruction. She was uprooted from Syracuse to London where she lived with her aunt and uncle. 

During her time there she had no desire to continue her schooling but was forced. She was depressed and began to self harm. She was made fun of and bullied. At a party someone took advantage of her after she drank herself drunk. She later realized she had been raped. After she confessed and the boy went to jail Ellery quit school and tried to kill herself. She was admitted to the mental ward where she remained for over a year before getting out. She tried a few more times but was always stopped. She began to get out of control and her aunt and uncle helped her through. Eventually with medication Ellery began to get better. She finished high school. She began college but quit after a frat party began to remind her of the past. It was high school all over. Her Aunt and Uncle kicked her out , as they tried everything and had enough of her shit. She was a bad influence to their teenage daughter and ten year old son. She ended up living with a friend she'd met at a club and working odd jobs for a while. However her friend had been busted for drugs and she moved out to be on her own and she got herself the cheapest studio apartment she could get. She hardly had a damn thing. She had her job at The Stoner Pig where for the first time that seemed to work out. She was the lead waitress and bartender. It's where she met Jett Turner. It's where for the first time in her life things were good for her since her life changed and took a very different road. She was for the first time happy since that fateful night.
