Skylar Marx was born and raised in San Francisco, California. His twin sister and himself being raised by their mother and father in the company of their older brother. Skylar was always musically inclined, singing and playing guitar at a very young age. His mother was very proud of his abilities and was his biggest supporter in band, choir, and any other activities he threw himself into. By the time he was in high school he was well known in the San Francisco music scene. He'd started a band with some of his friends and had you told him then that he'd be topping the charts he probably would have laughed at you.

 

It didn't take long for his band, "Sunshine State of Mind", to be noticed by the music scene. His band was quickly scooped up and the fame came in like a wrecking ball. Of course so did the drugs, sex, and alcohol. Skylar got mixed up with the wrong crowds and soon enough found himself with a drug and alcohol addiction and an abusive partner. He drank more to escape the pain of the physical abuse. His alcohol addiction heightened and made it harder for him to get high, so he started upping the doses...Until he almost killed his sister in a car accident. He was driving her somewhere one day and he was so high he couldn't focus and they went up over the cement median and into on coming traffic. She was trapped under the car for nearly 6 hours, her arm pinned as she screamed for her brother. She survived and Skylar swore he'd never touch a drink or a drug again.

 

And he kept that promise. Now, years later, Skylar is married to Colton Hayes. The son of one of Forbes wealthiest men Cullen James Hayes III. His mother is also well known, having graced the cover of Times for her work in Sexual Psychology Daruka Caprice Hayes. They are expecting their first child thanks to Skylar's twin sister and his name will be Logan James. They moved to London for Skylar's career as a musician and intend to live happily ever after.
